Google to Retire Google Checkout
If you are reading this, I know you are not happy about it. So are we and other merchants using the google checkout as a payment processor. Ofcourse, this will also mean that after November 20, 2013 you will no longer be eligible to use the blogger shopping cart powered by google checkout.
If you are a merchant who sell digital goods or perform virtual services, you can migrate to Google Wallet for digital goods before the deadline date. However, merchants selling through Google-hosted marketplaces (e.g. Google Play) will be unaffected by this development.
|May 20th, 2013||Last day to sign up for Google Checkout|
|November 20th, 2013||Last day to charge orders|
|November 21st, 2013||Last day to ship orders|
|November 27th, 2013||All outstanding orders will be cancelled|
|December 20th, 2013||Last merchant refunds permitted through Checkout|
If you are using the google checkout payment processor for selling physical goods (e.g: running an eCommerce site), you should consider switching to another payment processor.
