Konga Yakata sale is gradually becoming one of the most popular sales event in the Nigerian eCommerce market since its inception in 2013. Yaka sales day is one event that keeps Nigerians in front of their computers and tablets all day. Most couples will patiently wait till Yakata sales day to purchase a christmas gift for their spouse. Last year, I wasn’t very lucky with the online mall, I was describing the features of a TV set I saw on Konga to a friend who was interested in purchasing it, only to refresh the page and the TV set was out of stock.

Such is the level of popularity the event has attained among Nigerians. However, not everything has been rossy for Konga and its users. In 2013 the website famously crashed down on Yakata sales day and in 2014 there was a massive failure in goods delivery and delay in shipping. While we are unlikely to witness either of this circumstances in 2015 Yakata Sales day, the image of this famous event will rely heavily on how successful this year sales turn out.
On Konga side, they have issued an ultimatum of 80% to 100% shipment rate to sellers who wishes to participate in the Yakata sales day.
Dear Seller,
To ensure a greater and successful 2015 Fall Yakata sale, adequate measures are being put in place that will result in great customer satisfaction.
Merchants with history of low shipment rate will not qualify to participate during the yakata sales and will not be allowed to display their items on the platform during this period. This means that your items will be automatically taken off the Konga site for the period of the sale. This will occur a week before, during and a week after Yakata Sale.
Remember… Only merchants with shipment rate between 80% and 100% will be allowed to participate. You should ensure your shipment rates are well managed.
Yakata would feature discounts unbelievable discounts across board on thousands of products. This means you would have a wide variety of options to pick from, whether it’s electronics, home appliances, fashion, kids, laptops, and lots more; there is always something for everyone to buy.
So the countdown has began. Yakata is set from 26-27 November 2015. I advise you to get that shopping list ready, including items you’d need for the festive season because this massive sale will offer everything you could possibly need. It’s big, it’s Yakata!
